Help & Contact
Write quietly. Write what's true.
If you run into a problem or have a suggestion, we'd love to hear from you: lundi_customer@outlook.com
When you write, please include your iPhone model, your iOS version and your Lundi version (at the bottom of Me › About Lundi). It helps us find the cause faster. Please don't send us anything from your journal.
FAQ
What if I forget my passcode?
On the unlock screen, tap "Forgot Passcode?", verify with your iPhone passcode, and set a new one. Your entries are not affected in any way.
How do I move my journal to a new iPhone?
On the new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account, turn on iCloud Sync and open Lundi. Your entries will come back on their own.
If sync was off: on your old iPhone, use Export Journal › Backup, then on the new iPhone use Restore from Backup.
Can I bring entries over from another journaling app?
Yes. First export your entries from that app as a Markdown, text or JSON file, then choose the file in Me › Data & Sync › Import from Another App. Before importing, Lundi shows you how many entries it found. Your existing entries are never changed, and you can undo the whole import afterwards. Importing is always free.
Can the developer see my journal?
No. Lundi has no servers. Your entries are only on your devices and in your own iCloud.
How do I delete my entries completely?
Deleted entries stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days, and you can delete them permanently from there right away.
To delete everything: Me › Data & Sync › Delete All Entries, then choose to delete permanently right away.
Please note: deleting the app does not delete your entries in iCloud.
What if my iCloud storage is full?
Text takes up almost no space; photos take up most of it. You can empty Recently Deleted first, or manage your storage in Settings › [your name] › iCloud. You can keep writing even when storage is full; your entries are saved on this device in the meantime.
What happens if I don't pay?
What you have written can always be viewed, exported and restored. iCloud Sync and all three locks are free too.
Free version: up to 3 photos per entry; 3 letters to the future in total; unlimited letters to someone else, on Plain Cream paper with the Lundi mark at the bottom; 6 basic color covers; Plain and Oat paper; Backup and Markdown export.
Lundi Pro adds: up to 9 photos per entry, unlimited letters to the future, letters you send without the Lundi mark and on birthday or anniversary paper, more covers and paper, your own photos as covers, and Typeset PDF.
I bought Pro. How do I get it back on a new iPhone?
Tap "Restore Purchases" on the Lundi Pro page. You need to be signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Lundi Pro. After you cancel, you can keep using Pro until the end of the current period.
What format is the backup file?
A single .zip file that any common tool can open:
- data.json: all entries (including unfinished ones), letters to the future, and journal names, covers and paper. Each entry has a unique ID, date (YYYY-MM-DD), time, title, body text, mood (1–5), location, whether it is starred, the time zone it was written in, and photo file names. The file also records its format version.
- photos/: photos (the versions saved in the app), with file names matching those in data.json.
- Text is encoded in UTF-8. Settings, locks and your passcode are not included.
